What the calculators do

They turn your measurements into volumes you can order — in cubic yards, cubic feet and cubic metres — and show every step. If you have your supplier's bulk density, they estimate weight. If you have prices, they estimate cost.

There are no accounts, and you don't need to sign up. The calculations run in your browser.

What they deliberately do not do

• Guess a weight. We don't hold a generic density for any named gravel, because the reliable sources don't support one. Weight uses the figure you provide.
• Recommend depths. Suitable depths depend on your site. The only depth references offered are CMHA's ideal-condition paver-base minimums, and only when you choose them.
• Add hidden allowances. Waste and compaction are zero unless you enter them.
• Design structures. Driveway, drainage, paver-base and riprap calculators estimate quantities only. They do not design structures or replace a professional assessment.

Every formula is published on our Methodology page, and every external number is traced to a source on our Sources page, with its scope, limitations and review dates. Both are linked in the footer of every page. Each calculator page also lists the sources that apply to it.
